Tubular Welding Wire

Tubular Welding Wire Supplier

Welding

Flux-cored tubular wire for high-deposition welding in shipbuilding, pressure vessels, and heavy industry.

Distefano Consulting supplies flux-cored tubular welding wire for companies engaged in heavy fabrication, shipbuilding, and pressure vessel manufacturing. Through our international sourcing network, we connect buyers with certified manufacturers producing tubular wire compliant with AWS A5.20, CE, and TÜV standards — delivering high deposition rates, excellent weldability, and reliable mechanical properties.

Technical Description

Our tubular welding wire is anchored by the E71T-1 (AWS A5.20) classification, a rutile-type flux-cored wire designed for single- and multi-pass welding of carbon and low-alloy steels. It delivers a stable arc, smooth bead appearance, and excellent slag removal, with tensile strength of 500 MPa or greater and elongation values between 20% and 22%. The flux-cored design offers higher deposition rates compared to solid MIG wire, reducing welding time and improving productivity on heavy structural work. The wire is supplied on plastic spools compatible with standard MIG/FCAW equipment and is suitable for all-position welding, including vertical-up and overhead. An E71T-5 (basic-type) variant is also available for applications requiring improved impact toughness at low temperatures.

Grades and Compositions

The primary classification is E71T-1 (rutile-type flux-cored wire), designed for high-deposition welding of carbon and low-alloy steels with excellent arc stability and slag removal. The E71T-5 (basic-type) variant provides improved low-temperature impact toughness and is preferred for critical applications such as pressure vessels and low-temperature service. Both classifications meet AWS A5.20 requirements with tensile strength ≥500 MPa.
