Technical Description
Pure nickel — particularly grades Ni 200 (commercially pure, UNS N02200) and Ni 201 (low-carbon variant, UNS N02201) — is valued for its exceptional resistance to corrosion by alkalis, acids, and neutral salts, along with outstanding electrical and thermal conductivity. Ni 201, with its lower carbon content, is preferred for applications above 315 °C where graphitization risk must be minimized. We supply pure nickel in wires, bars, sheets, plates, and tubes, enabling its use across a broad spectrum of fabrication and engineering processes. These properties make pure nickel a staple material in chemical processing, food handling, electronics, and marine engineering, where long-term material integrity is non-negotiable.
Grades and Compositions
We supply two primary grades of pure nickel. Ni 200 (UNS N02200) is commercially pure nickel with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties across a wide temperature range. Ni 201 (UNS N02201) is the low-carbon variant designed for applications above 315 °C, where it prevents the risk of intergranular embrittlement caused by graphite precipitation. Both grades are available in multiple product forms and comply with ASTM B160, B161, B162, and B163 specifications.
